I’ve been trying to write this post for days, but honestly, I don’t know where to begin. My heart hurts for my city—for the loss, the devastation, the fear-mongering, and everything in between.
And yet, I find myself more in love with Los Angeles than ever before. If you know me, you know I’ve always gushed about this city, its little nooks and crannies, and the ways it has shaped me. But moments of loss and grief have a way of crystallizing what truly matters.
For me, one of the things I love most about LA is the vibrant art community that has been my playground for building LOTA. So, as I’ve been researching ways to support relief efforts, one priority stands out: supporting the artists who are such a vital part of this city’s fabric.
To help, I’ve put together a list of emergency resources available to artists most directly impacted by the fires. We’ve already seen devastating losses within the art communities in Altadena, the Palisades, and beyond. Studios have been destroyed, supplies lost, and livelihoods disrupted. For many, creating art is the only way to keep going.
Here are some resources to help artists rebuild and find their footing:
LA Fire Artist Resources
You can find the full list of resources here, with details about aid offered (ranging from $100 micro-grants to $15,000 relief funds), eligibility requirements, and application links.
Below are a few highlights:

If you are an artist or know someone in need, I’m happy to help with grant writing, finding studio space, or anything else that might ease the burden. Please set up time with me here or email me here.
More from me soon on other ways to support including some incredible art auctions, sales, and raffles that all go back into wildfire relief efforts. You can check some of these on my Instagram stories here.
In the meantime, let’s rebuild.
